Becca is the author and photographer of The Year of Extraordinary Travel, published in the fall of 2021 by St. Petersburg Press.

“In the fall of 2018, Becca McCoy set a goal to travel somewhere every month for a year. By the end of the 12-month span, she’d traveled to 8 states in the US and 7 other countries over 118 days, and taken 10,500 photos. The Year of Extraordinary Travel is a collection of tales and photos recounting this varied list of destinations, brought to vivid and original life through Becca McCoy’s lens and singular perspective.”

Artist

A member of Actors’ Equity Association since 2004, Becca’s stage credits run the gamut of comedies, dramas, musicals, and Shakespeare from theatres across the country. She holds a BA in Theatre from Eckerd College, and a Certificate of Classical Acting from the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England. She is a YoungArts alumnae in Theatre: Spoken and Musical, and a National Society of Arts and Letters national 3rd place winner in Musical Theatre. In 2020, she received the Broadway World Regional Awards Performer of the Decade distinction for her performance as Rose in Gypsy.

On-Camera & Microphone

Becca appeared as the titular character in Victoria Jorgensen’s Interview with Saint Petra, a 2021 film festival circuit comedy short favorite.  She has appeared in a number of Chicago-based independent and student films, as well as local and national commercials.

Becca is also a Voiceover artist, having narrated Helen Hansen French’s award-winning dance film, Within the Bounding Line.

She is a vocalist, specializing in showtunes and American songbook, as well as an orchestral narrator.  Becca has narrated Peter and the WolfThe Soldier’s Tale, and the US Premiere of Alberga’s Roald Dahl’s Snow White for The Florida Orchestra.
